Many people are considering starting up their own business. Many people have already been doing their own business. As immigrants, especially Chinese language speaking immigrants, no matter we came from Taiwan, HongKong, Singapore, or mainland China, more or less, we are facing the same problem, which is how to build high quality business connections. We all know it is never easy to have our own business. Because our native tone is not English, because we came from another continent, it is even harder for Chinese language speakers to have their own business. Lacking business connections and good business information is a major reason that many people want to have their own business but couldn’t .
Chinese Language Speakers’ Business Networking Group was created for that exact purpose. We get together regularly at west suburb, north suburb and Chinatown. We are going to have business networking groups in far west, north and south of Chicago metropolitan area to serve local Chinese speaking community. Members of this group have very diverse background, including finance, IT, importing/exporting, health care, accounting, real estate, etc. Some of our members already have their own business, and they are seeking more business opportunities, and partners. Some of our members are considering starting up their business. They are looking for potential partners or business experience to avoid common mistakes. We also have seminars regularly. We invite professionals including banker, accounting, lawyer, or government officials to answer our common questions. We also invite successful business men/women to share their experience in their journey.
